This post is about a Miracle Drink for Healing and Rejuvenation that I was inspired to make to help a sick neighbor. I used to have a neighbor friend years ago who was having some severe health challenges. I decided to pay her a visit.
She was laying on her couch feeling very weak and hungry. She said she wasn’t able to eat anything or keep anything down. I asked her if she would like me to make her a green drink. She was very responsive to this idea.
So, I went home and started to put a drink together under inspiration. I just kept adding different herbs and vegetables and some water to a powerful blender I have, which is called a Vitamix. (If I was going to buy another, I might try a Blendtec since it is an even more powerful blender. They are both an expensive, but worthwhile investment for your culinary uses.)
I took the drink over to her in a quart jar. She drank the whole thing and loved it. She wanted more and ended up wanting to pay me $100 every two weeks to make this drink for her daily.
She quickly regained energy and health to the extent that she was able to go for a walk around the cul-de-sac that we live in. Then, she got so excited that she returned to work.
The downside is that she wasn’t convinced about changing her diet and continued to eat the foods that made her sick in the first place and got real sick again and I gave up trying to save her as she headed to the hospital.
If you want to get well, you can’t take two steps forward with this special green smoothie and then also take three steps back eating animal products and processed, refined junk and fast foods and expect to get well. You need to make a decision for healing or disease.
But, people who knew her came up to me to find out about the miracle drink that helped her out so much for a time. It had small portions of various vegetables, and some spice(s) like oregano and salt to help it taste good.
This recipe is like a warm uncooked cream soup when you add some spices and salt. The powerful blender warms up the soup without cooking it and you can preserve all the natural enzymes of the raw produce.
Miracle Drink for Healing and Rejuvenation by Janet Hailstone at nutribuff.com
- 2-3 leaves of kale or other dark green leafy herb, folded in
- 1 stalk of celery, cut in thirds
- 1/3 of a zucchini
- 1/3 of a cucumber
- 1/3 of a carrot
- 1/4 section of a yellow onion
- 1 bud of garlic
- 1 lime/lemon juiced
- 1/2 tsp oregano or 1 tsp Italian or other herb
- 1/2 tsp salt
- Water to cover everything to the top leaves and vegetables
Blend everything really well. You may want to put it through a fine strainer since there can be bigger pieces of things here and there that aren’t fun to drink.
Variations: There may be different vegetables that you have on hand and want to add a little of, like various squashes, a piece of broccoli or a small beet, etc. Then, try other spices that taste good for soup.
