Nutrition
I love to study nutrition. I’ve been studying it all my life. That’s why I call myself Nutribuff. I don’t like pain and disease so I try to eat right. I also want to have energy, healthy children, and live a long, healthy life.
I have found out for a certainty that all of the diseases are coming from the consumption of animal products in excess. So, I call it the Healing Diet to focus on a plant-based diet.
I am LDS and we have a Word of Wisdom. The diet recommended there is wholesome plant foods along with some flesh sparingly. (Flesh is best used in times of winter, cold, famine, or excess of hunger – basically a good survival food, which provides calories and is high in fat to help you deal with the cold.)
If you keep the sayings of the Word of Wisdom and walk in obedience to the commandments, you are promised that the destroying angel will pass you by as the children of Israel and not slay you. I think the destroying angel just might be all of the diseases and pain going on today.
There is plenty of research in the medical journals to back up this diet. Medical professionals have studied and researched this information. My favorite websites for information are: pcrm.org, drmcdougall.com, and drbenkim.com. I also like herballegacy.com for some good old-fashioned, tried and true information. For a fast-track to healing, I like hacres.com. For beauty and age reversal, I like beautifulonraw.com. For religious and scriptural support, see ldsveg.org.
I challenge you to try eliminating animal products for a week or two and see if you don’t start to reverse your diseases and feel better. To get filled up and have energy and strength, you can have wholesome starches such as brown rice, corn, beans, and potatoes. Once you are well, you can have some animal products sparingly.
Then, eat vegetables on the side for more vitamins, minerals, and phyto-nutrients. Have fresh fruit for snacks. Drink water between meals. There is plenty of protein and sufficient calcium in these foods. And, you won’t lose calcium if you avoid animal products and junk food.
All of the sites above have plenty of recipes that you can try. I’m creative and come up with a lot of recipes myself, which I share a lot of here. I also try a lot of recipes and often adjust them to my taste. There are a lot of free recipes at fatfreevegan.com.
If you eat the way you were meant to eat, you will look and feel the way you were meant to look and feel
